The Happy Mother's Day Book

Children are fascinating creatures.  When you think that they are too busy to pay attention to what you are doing or you think they are ignoring you and don't listen to a word you say, they suddenly surprise you with their observations.  In one way this is funny but in another, its a warning to watch what one does as a parent. They see what we do and know more about us than we think.  But that's neither here nor there, I just really wanted to share what the Kiddo made me for Mother's Day.

SPAM... I know processed food is not the greatest, blame my own childhood memories of with luncheon meat meals but there is something about SPAM on pan de sal and a nice mug of hot, steaming coffee for breakfast (or snack) that just reminds me of home.  As you can see, its also best when served with current favorite series 'Bones' and no, I don't really let her watch it since it can get pretty gory what with the skeletons and all (you can tell I work in the medical profession right since I have no problems having a snack while watching this show, right?) but she does see me watch it on Netflix and her Dad and I talk about the episodes.  I'm sure she would have put One Piece if it was our current favorite show.

If anyone needs proof of my culinary skills... hehehe

Would it be okay for me to say that these are the times when I'm reminded of how blessed I am to have my family?  Because I feel so loved right now.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all Moms out there!
