Cookie Monsters

We've been craving cookies for a couple of days already so I baked some oatmeal raisin chocolate chip cookies last night. It was almost gone before I even had a chance to take pictures because Kiddo and I couldn't wait till they cooled down to eat but don't worry, I was able to take some pictures.  I adapted it from Fake It Frugal's Fake Betty Crocker Oatmeal Cookies recipe when I was trying to find ways to make my own cookie mix.  I don't have to say how yummy it was, especially when still warm from the oven.

Fake It Frugal's Fake Betty Crocker Oatmeal Cookies

To prepare the Mix, you'll need to mix the following into a ziplock bag:

1 Cup Flour
1/2 Cup White Sugar
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar
1 1/2 Cup Rolled Oats
1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
Optional: 1/2 Cup Raisins and/or Nuts (or semi sweet chocolate chips if you're like me)

Then you need to write out instructions on the bag to add:  1 Stick Melted Butter, 1 Large Egg, 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract.  Mix, Refrigerate for 30 Minutes & Bake at 350 degrees for 9-11 minutes. When you need to bake a batch, you can just add the ingredients you needed and follow the instructions you wrote and enjoy!

I actually prepared a few ziplock bags of the 'mix' and kept it in my pantry just for these 'cookie emergency' situations.  You can check out her site for more cookie mixes you can prepare beforehand.
